I Just picked up this cabinet yesterday and was wondering who makes these cabinets for Snap On.

From what I can tell it was made around 2001 or 2002. It has a mural on the front that says Snap On Tools Drive-In Cafe, Nothing Comes Close. It also has a bunch of model A Hot Rods on the mural.

I need a few parts and I think it would be easier to get then from the manufacturer.

Any of the Snap On dealer want to chime in? That would be great.

Wow,With 60 views!!!!!!!!!!

It is this model except with the Hot Rod mural on the front.

This has been up all day without any responses. I am beginning to wonder if its a secret manufacture that Snap On is not proud to let the public know who makes them.

If you dont want to reveal the manufacture you can just PM me the info.

Maybe he bought it off of CL.

Man, that looks snazzy. Kind looks like a ScatBlast.

Looks like the same unit I bought for the shop, but not the special paint job.Don't know who made it for Snap On. I can say that I thought it needed a bigger fan or maybe a second fan. I always had trouble looking thru the dust. The clear glass protectors were tough to keep on too.My only experience with a blast cabinet. Maybe they all are like that.I would take parts outside and use the power sand blaster some times.

I bought it off CL for just about what one of the new HF ones sell for. I also got a full box of walnut shells and 2 voltage guard mats like they use in the clean rooms or for some higher electrical work still in the boxes. And a small tool box also. He just gave those items to me.

I will eventually need to repaint it. It was used in a shop for a few years and then at a home shop where I founfd it sitting in a corner.

It works really good. But just like all of them they need parts replaced every so often.

I would just like to know who makes them so I can upgrade some sstuff.

Here are some pics. Its a side and a top loader. The top is big enough to put wheels in. I have a 50's or 60's vintage mini bike that I want to restore. The frame will fit in perfectly.

We removed those gloves at his place and installed a brand new set of long style ones. He kept the short ones for his parts washer. I also cleaned it up quite a bit since those pics. But I want to repaint it. Whats great about it is that it does not leak when you use it.

My 7 and 8 year kids could not find enough rusty metal to clean up since I brought it home.

I know this is an old thread, but it is hard to find info on these blast cabinets. So 35mastr, you ever find any info on who makes these? Mine is the same model as yours (YA365HD), but your window is a little different than mine, and I picked it up on CL as well. I was in the market for one and was about to pull the trigger on the HF unit for $300 (which is smaller, cheaper made, needs mods, etc) when I stumbled upon this for $350 so I jumped on it. Plugged it in, hooked air to it, threw in some media and I was blasting. It looks like these were almost $3,000 new! It is dirty, but other than the fading decal on the front it was in perfect shape.

I have been using it without issue for over a year, but starting to need some parts and SO prices are delusional at best. My gloves developed holes in them and I got sick of replacing them with cheapie ones so I actually ordered the replacement gloves for $75 but when I got them they were just like the $5 pair I get from Steve's Tool's?? The ones that were in it were nice 2 piece gloves... the upper part of them that the clamp holds to the outside of the cabinet were vinyl and the lower part were rubber... very heavy duty, so that's why I was willing to pay $75 for a set.

Anyway, so did you have any luck?

The SO units look a lot like ones made by ALC. As for parts, you can do fine with parts from TP tools. Replace the cabinet gun with the equivalent TP version (trigger or foot pedal operation) and use TP consumables (nozzles, air jets, gaskets, etc). More than likely the TP consumables will fit what you already have. Their gauntlet style gloves are very nice and can be adapted to just about any make of blaster. I've had nothing but excellent service from my TP gear over the past 25+ years, and their prices are tough to beat (unless you go to HF).

Yes it looks just like mine. Dee Blast Industries makes them for Snap On.

I havent done anything with mine as I have been working on my shop and just havent had the time to mess around with it.

Let me know how you make out with them on your parts ordering.

Bringing this back from the dead. I just bought one of these with different graphics on it. Found it on CL for $350, in excellent condition with extra glass, water filter installed. The only negatives are pretty small, one of the gloves as a small tear on the thumb and the ceramic tip needs replacing, so no big deal. Looks new cosmetically from the outside. I'll be checking with Dee Blast about their gloves, as they seem to be pretty nice. It'll be a bit before I can use it, but for not much more than an HF cabinet, I get a better slightly larger blast cabinet. I think I'll dedicate the HF one to soda blast and the Snap On to garnet.

I went to order parts from Dee Blast and they sent me back to snap-on. If you call Dee Blast, do not tell them it is a Snap On cabinet, or they won't sell you parts directly. The bad news is that I don't know the Dee Blast model, so I can't just call them and ask them for parts. They also do not call back, even though 90% of the time calling them gives you a voice mail. Terrible customer service from Dee Blast. Looks like I will need to buy a new gun from someone else, since they won't sell me the ceramic nozzles directly and I'm not paying Snap On prices every time I need a nozzle.

Found out that the gun is ALC, and found ceramic and metal nozzles on the 'net and locally. Bought 5 nozzles locally. Also bought a pair of gloves, but apparently the 5 1/2 in diameter hole is unusual, ended up buying the 6 in. Hopefully it won't be a problem. Tptools didn't seem to carry the right nozzles(?)

...I picked up this baby Snap On blast cabinet for the barn. Outfitting it with new gloves and then I'll use it for small parts when I'm working in the barn so I don't have to go the old shop and fire up the big one. :)

www.tptools.com for everything you need :)

Quite right Rick. When I replaced the gun on my SO unit I went right to TPTools. I also got some clear protective film from them to protect the back side of the glass on the cabinet from being accidentally etched. TPTools have every consumable I need and they are good people which is a bonus. I got the SO blast cabinet very reasonably otherwise TPTools was where I was going to source my cabinet. I've used it for several years with no issues.
