Still have not received my ratcheting screwdriver...getting a little nervous. Paid on 9/21 told on 9/28 he didn't get an address through paypal. Not accusing any wrong doing yet, has anyone dealt with this guy before. He seems legit, but I am a little concerned.

I got my sockets last Friday. It did take alot longer than I thought it would, but I did get them.

***this guy was paid via paypal 9/21, tells me my address was not attached to my paypal payment on 9/28. I send him all my contact info he claims screwdriver is sent out on 10/2, has no tracking number but assures me it went out, never ever shows. He seems like a nice guy so i wait.
We have at least 9 pm's over the next month, no screwdriver. After over a month i ask for my money back, he is set back and offended. The guy has the balls to say, "not until i get my screwdriver back, i am not gonna be out $50 and my screwdriver".... Apparently it was ok for me to give him $50 for nothing.
I actually took the time to ask other members that have bought from him if he was legit, and they said slow shipper but they received the items, so i waited and waited over a month. I have saved every email, pm etc... With this guy.
I was nice; more than patient and empathetic to his situation.
This member began being rude about 4 emails ago, saying that there is no way i haven't received it yet etc... I filed with paypal, which he never responded to, then went the next step further and filed a claim with paypal, which they paid immediately.
Now this "tool bag" emails me yesterday, now november mind you, demanding payment, saying there is no way i have not received the screwdriver yet.
This was my first transaction on garage journal, this is a total bummer, i have had 131 100% positive transactions on ebay. This is a shame. This guy is not legit, and he is bad for this site. I am done being harassed by this guy, and thought you all should be aware of this less than legitimate member.******
Im assuming the Seller couldnt provide "Tracking" for the Item? This is generally a Automatic judgement for the Buyer. I wil admit that i was curious to Paypal's stance outside of Ebay but it sounds like they took care of you. Remember Sellers....... Anything Under $250 has to have a tracking number and anything Over $250 requires Tracking and Signature confirmation. If you fail to protect yourself.. There are people who will take advantage of you. I would be a bit cautious on calling a member a scammer etc... It could be that his failed to add Tracking.. and Possibly the package got lost etc... It seems odd that 1 member had a good transaction on a Higher priced Item and then he decided to screw you for Less Money

Listen, I felt bad, I never gave him pain, even when he hinted that I may be a thief. He had no tracking number, he said things have sat around his post office for over a week before previously. I had no problem waiting a while. This has nothing to do with the $50, this has everything to do with his accusations that I stole from him. I have all of the back and forth pm's, I would post them, however my reply last night to his accusing me got very colorful on my part. I paid $40 for the screwdriver and $10 for shipping, I don't know why he did not get a tracking number.
Stuff like this makes a nice classified section not so nice. It is a shame.
But I am no thief and will not be harassed like I am.

No, he is accusing me of stealing back my money AND taking his screwdriver.
He has sold successfully to other people on here.
I checked a couple of older posts and the people said they did get their items.
My issue is that he is accusing me of being a thief when he actually had my money for around 6 weeks and I never received the item and he can't even tell me when it was sent out. Paypal INSTANTLY refunded me, with NO response from the seller. He just thinks he will harass me via pm on here.

Ultimately its his Fault for Not sending a Trackable package, I dont blame you for not wanting to be harrassed, it sounds like you gave him ample opportunity prior to escalating it via Paypal. As a Seller he shouldnt be accusing people of Thievery when he cant even document that the Package was sent. It ***** that sitsuations like this arrise in the Classifieds but they are few and far between and Hopefully cases like this can be used as a learning experience. I know on a personal level i wouldnt allow $50 dollars come between me and the GJ community, Im not perfect but i do my best to make sure anything i sell gets to the Buyer Safe and Sound with Documentation.

If there is a customs form filled out for it (which there would have to be) then the customs form number is on the mailing receipt. You can call the customs office and find out if the package made it there, and if it is being held up for any reason. I have had 2 packages ******* in customs for over a month (with no reason as to why) then delivered as if nothing was wrong...

I am with you, it seems to be a great site, and everybody seemed straight. Hey, things happen, it may very well be ******* in customs, I was just pissed, I wanted the screwdriver not to be accused of being a cheat. Its simple, paypal verifies you are legit, then its on the seller.

Thank you for that midnightcruise, I would say that pretty much proves he is full of it. He told me next time he would charge more for shipping to get a tracking #, now that you have brought this to the service I feel much better. All he had to do was be nice. I would have waited. He is a DB.
