Snap On's 1/2" drive MG325 impact

What would be the purpose of Snap On's MG3255?

When would you need to use a 1/2" drive socket in a 3/8" impact? Am I over looking a handy tool here?

They even have a long anvil version MG3255L . What use would the long anvil be?

Long anvils were for double ended flip sockets for lug nuts.

As far as a 1/2" drive on a 3/8" impact, maybe for someone who doesn't need the power of a MG725, and a smaller body for restricted access.

I've pulled a lot of lug nuts off with my mg31 and mg325. These little guns have plenty of power for use in a tireshop or brakeshop, and they seem to hold up really well. The 1/2" version may even hold up better since it has a more robust anvil. All I can say is if what I'm working on isn't a 3/4 or 1 ton truck (No need to work them too hard) my little mg's are my go to guns, they're just lighter and more convenient.

Probably the same idea as the IR2125QTIMAX which I use daily. For me it's a matter of weight. For pulling wheels off of SUVs and cars I don't need a full size impact. The 2125 gives me enough power in a package the size of a 3/8 impact. It's very light. I can use torque sticks, flip sockets and anything 1/2 drive on a small impact. If I need more power, I reach for my 2135TIMAX. There's no sense in lugging a heavy impact around all day if you don't have too even if we're only talking about a couple of pounds difference.
