Has anyone seen or used the new CT7850.
Are the batteries backwards compatible?
Will the older units still be available?

That stinks. I almost ordered one today, but wanted to read a little about it first. I have the 18V drill and also the 3/8 14.4v impact. I was hoping to add a few more 18v batteries to the collection.
I wonder if the improvements are worth stepping up to, or if I should try and find one of the old ones.
My dealer wasn't able to order one of the old ones, it just showed none available. I told him i'd let him know next week if I want one of the new ones.
where do you guys get all this info ????
. Someone that went to the big SO conference posted about it on here afterwords.where do you guys get all this info ????

Chad- With a new 1/2 cordless impact coming out what does that mean for guys wanting to repair/service a "older" cordless impact?
The reason why I ask is because I bought a cordless impact gun about 2 years ago from Snap on. I use it on the weekends usually. If and when it breaks am I gonna be SOL and gonna have to upgrade?
Dan
Anyone got pictures of the drill?
Wow the price of the impact went up! Then again it now includes two li-ion batteries. Is Snap On completely eliminating Ni-Cad?

Chad when do you expect to see these?

We were looking at them in the hot tools on Tuesday. My dealer was ready to order it on the spot. When I inquired about the older units, they came up as none available.
Country of origin is listed as USA also along with the drill.
I think that I'll go ahead and order it next week.
not sure on the colors yet, but as good as the other impacts sold in colors they would be crazy not to offer them. i will make sure they know we want them in different colors.
