Snapon 1/2" hard handle ratchets - all custom?

Are all of these custom or did snapon ever make one? Is it hard to do? Thanks guys

Snap On made them. My driver has some on his truck every time I see him. I am not sure they are still made and readily available. They do have commemorative ones from time to time. You can also make your own. You can buy a hard handle off eBay or the truck and drill the center out or turn down the ratchet handle on a lathe to make it fit. I have also heard of people using a belt sander to do it. There is a custom handled ratchet thread somewhere on here with same great ideas.

Here is a brand new 1/2 and 1/4 I got from my snap on guy.

They made the older 32 and 36 tooth 1/2" ratchets with hard handles. I haven't seen a factory produced 80 tooth, though.

I don't think its too hard to remove one of the soft grips and fit a new hard handle. If I remember right the handle on my s836 is closest in size to the sdd6 screwdriver handle. Like Hpozzuoli said, you may have to drill out the new handle to the correct diameter hole and check the depth to be sure its deep enough to fit.
