I think it would be hilarious to get hired at a new job and show up with that thing.

Oh is my 17 ft. long tool box in the way.

I got to wonder if that is a canceled order or a dealer/demo model or what. Why would someone spend that kind of money and not have used it.

How the hell are you supposed to use the top drawers!? A step seems like the only option if you want to see in them...

Another big ticket box being sold under the notion no tools have ever entered it. Instead of trying to keep up with the Jones's make sure you can afford it before you finance the thing. Boxes like that are all over Craigslist....well not that big

Has anyone ever spent this kind of money on a tool box without writing it off on taxes as a business expense?

I have thought about getting one thru my business. Something along the lines of a classic 96. I just can't justify because it's still my money whether business or personal.

To buy it as a personal business expense would be possible, but how can the average tech justify to the irs he spent half a years income on a tool box.

I agree - for an instant, I thought the 3rd picture showed a step-ladder. (It's a dog.)

"I just bought this custom box for 50k, never used it, but I'll sell it to you and take a 20-25k loss on it."

Each and every day I scratch my head and wonder: "WTF?!"

never believe anything on craigslist, especially about original price.

That is true.

But, how would one put together a box like that and not purchase directly from a dealer or snapon?

In addition to that...for practical usage...why would anyone want to build a box that large? I can see the novelty in it for sure but not the reality of legitimate working use.

I only have three questions.
1.) Why was it initially ordered?
2.) Why has it been unused?
3.) What is he upgrading to?
