Does anyone know the years the OEX_ _A wrenches were made by snapon? and if they are flank drive.. Also i wonder why they changed..

The A series started around 88 or 89...1990 for sure, not sure when they ended though problably late ninties. As far as I know snap-on came out with Flank drive in the early/mid sixties so all sockets and wrenches since that period have flank drive technology. As far as why they changed I can only speculate every company ruins a great product because the next guy thinks he has to improve an existing masterpeice. Its like how in the gun world the Pre 64' Winchester bolt action is coveted and praised while the Post 64' is considered sub par. The product was great, the people loved it, some idiot "improved" it and it sucked, people complained and nothing happened. Going back to the original would mean admition that company's cutting edge team of designers f**ked up and don't really know what they're doing:bounce:

Thanks guys for the input. I am looking for oex8a,oex10a, and oex11a... If anyone has an incomplete set and wants to part.. I am also looking for the 1-1/16 and 1-1/8 in the A serries.
