Snapon Ethos?

I am a beginning GM tech at a dealership, but I tend to do sidework as much as I can handle. I found a Snapon Ethos for a VERY cheap price, but it only came with the unit and cable to connect to cars.

For general diag and clearing of codes do I need to get the adaptor for keys? If so, is there a list somewhere of what keys are for what cars?

Any adaptors or attachments I should get?

Snappy guy comes every monday so I can purchase accessories quite readily.

For $399 you can buy a set of the adaptors and keys that you need.

You can still read, clear codes, and record whatever the generic OBD2 monitors without the adapters. You can't access the vin specific features though.
