That's what techs asked for. I personally like longer drwers. They also offer drawer dividers so you can store more without space loss. As for a KRL763 the closest you'll get these days is a double bay with an added on cabinet.

I have a 1033 and a 1032 - I like my wide drawers. It lets me keep lots of similar tools in a single drawer. Nothing as annoying as needing to open 3 drawers to do one job, where opening one drawer obscures viewing another drawer unless I close it.

AFAIK they still make the standard 2 longer drawer models. IMO it just works out really well to have drive tools in the top-most, wrenches below.

+1
I hate having to open and close a bunch of small drawers when I can see what I'm looking for in one glance.

They make a nice combo I have the same two.

I bought my krl1022 right when the double top drawers came out. Dealer had it on the truck and gave me a price I couldn't pass up. I wanted the single wide drawer 1001 because I thought the extra 4" drawers would be more handy. While I like the look of the 1001 better even to this day, the 1022 is the better choice. First off the main top drawer is 5" deep compared to 4" of the 1001. I'm using all 5" so my socket drawer would have to be arranged different if only the 4". I'm odd in that I don't use the second wide drawer for wrenches, most do. In the early years it was a catch all for stuff that just didn't in well eleswhere like tap and die kit, electrical and other specialty tools. Over time it evolved into the long tool drawer. Prybars, 3/4" ratchets and breaker bars, stuff that won't fit in a standard drawer and it doesn't have to fight for space with my sockets. Overall the second drawer is a pretty handy thing to have. A third wide top drawer I'm mixed on. If I wanted/needed that many wider drawers, I'd buy a krl1032.

And I wish my 84 epic had two full length(84") drawers, and the rest split like a double bank. All my sockets and wrenches don't fit in the top two drawers I have.

I have a KRL1001.e07868ec3d1abcf7d8bebbda0bb1a6da.jpgIf I was going to trade up to a larger Masters Series box it would be a KRL1032 with a slightly custom drawer layout like this.e8873dc0259387f702fac3f665dee9b4.jpgI do plan on upgrading soon but I'm almost sure it will be to a 68" Epiq like this. 62cadbfb3ea0144e523ddee594db11b6.jpg

 Ya got good taste! They look like family members, I just need a locker for the 1032 now.

I have the same issue. While all my wrenches could probably be stuffed into an 84" epiq drawer, it's tough to work out of when they're all mashed together. I've spread mine between the two thinner 72" drawers. The SAE and metric extras drawer makes me look like a lube tech! Lots of drawer liner showing.

They actually won't build a double bank Masters Series box with all wide drawers. Something about the structural integrity.

Well, they should figure it out. That box looks "thicc" and I love it.

Snap on does offer the 54" master with full width drawers. It's part of their tool control series of boxes. Not sure if you could order the box without the inventory tracking system, but it is out there.
