I was looking for a bit handle from snap on about 6 months ago and had no luck. Pretty sure they no longer make bit handles.

Nope! Sadly long gone! They are the old Tenite handled models dating from the mid 80's!

Good tools though!

The only hard handle bit drivers now available are ratcheting models, and they have the newer style hard handles (can't remember what they are called)!

Part No's are SSDMR1A for the short, SSDMR4B for the regular and SSDMR8A for the long!

With the possible exception of the superb T handled models, these are the best bit drivers in the catalogue. Vastly superior to the soft grip interchangeable shank things!

Don't be afraid of buying the older ones used though! Even if the handle has some scuffs, they can be removed by polishing with progressively finer grades of abrasive paper!

I've got two of the middle size, bits store in the handle. Tried to warranty one and was told NLA, wouldn't do anything for me...

If you want a longer one, just make one yourself. pop off the handle and get a long one from somewhere else and press it on. I make a lot of 1/4" drivers that way, take a nice handle, long extension, drill and press it together. I really like the 1/4" socket driver handles that can be used as an extension and they can be hard to find...

I dont recall the price on the handle but i think it was around 13$ or so.... the shank was 12inches long overall. I made it 6 yrs ago and use it daily no problems
