It is packaged "Buy 1/2 inch and 1/4 inch and get the 3/8 inch free". So it is $203 (1/2") + $98 (1/4") = $301 for the three.

Dealers here say the price in $319 which simply does not add up.

So do some dealers offer different pricing on promos? Is this up to their discretion? Or are they supposed to charge the promoted promo price?

It was $319 for the package.

If the pricing is actually 319, then I hate to say that SO is very misleading by saying that you buy the $203 (1/2") and $98 (1/4") and you get the 3/8" for free. But the math simply should come out to = $301 for the three, not $319.

Puzzling for sure how something can be do blatantly correct. Its not the 18 bucks for me but the simple principle that they should deliver what they promised in writing on the packaging of this 3 piece set.

We'll see how this turns out on the end.

Was this in a flyer or some thing?? I called the local guy ( I just picked up a 1/2" last week ) and He didn't know about it. I see SD had it and some west coast people maybe it's not made it to Iowa yet:-(

The deal is printed right on the packaging, but no numbers.

The dealer here knew what I was asking when I asked why it wasn't $301.

Always make an offer for cash if you have it to avoid the tax. Round the number down too! If he creates a receipt he probably has to charge tax.

I am conflicted about this. If I get a receipt then I have to pay tax, but then I get brownie points on my account showing that I at least bought SOMETHING. So when they look up my account when I send in something totally unrelated for warranty, Snap-On doesn't curse "Another tool catfish!".:bounce:

Price was 301 after I explained that 319 is simply wrong, very politely though.
