I'm fairly new on here i've been working in a shop for about three and a half years for the past 2 ive been wearing the snapon brand socks. I know they are not cheap but ive always been told that keeping your feet in good condition isn't just a pair of boots and insoles but a quality pair of socks. Anyone else think these things are awesome because they keep your feet dry and never fall down? Or am I one of the few that wear them?

My father in law buys me 2 pairs every christmas. Out of all my work socks, they are hands down my favorite.

Are they really that good? Does anybody know who makes them for Snap On?

Just a small company in TN. Eco Hosiery. I dont think they're magical or anything, just a nice thick cotton sock.

I bought a pair mostly for novelty. They don't seem special at all to me. just like the average good brand sock.

Im gonna go out on a limb here and say theres nothing special about them. If its a hot day out i wear my gray allstars that wick away most of the moisture. Bought them at walmart. If its cold i use my really thick ones i bought on sale at a store.

I thought people said these socks were expensive...they are only $5.13 a pair according to the website...then again i have bought some pretty expensive socks when i was in the army. my favorite ones was the under-armor socks. They have some nice thin ones for the summer and some nice thick ones for the winter and they hugged my arches really nice and such. these days i usually get the dickies socks because they feel similar in the way they feel around my foot. they of course are not made of the same materials though.

I have gone to the darn tough Vermont socks now, I use the micro crew hike/trek socks in black. I really like these socks, not quite as thick as newer snap on socks but merino wool is greater than cotton

Under armor socks!

Timberland Steel Toe Pitbull Boots
Dr. Scholls orthotics, stand on the machine ($50 well worth it)
Under armor socks

When I am on the road 2 nights a week...double up on the socks. Long and then short over them.

Yes, only 5x the cost of similar socks but with a logo to impress the person looking at your socks (your dog? can dogs read?).

Obligatory, please don't start a snap-on underwear thread for God's sake. "Hey babe how you like my snap-on" "Um...what?!?"

The only socks I haven't put holes in yet are my snap on and dickies socks. All others holes in the heels.

Under Armor makes very nice socks, they are breathable and perfect to wear year round.

The socks I always wear are made by Bauer. They are actually designed for hockey skates, but they are also perfect for boot wear as a result. They are very expensive at $18 a pair. I'm fortunate enough that I run a hockey Pro-Shop so I can get them at cost.

Like them. They are very nice and heavy for 5 bucks. Of course there are US brands out there where you get more for your money if you look around and buy a pack. I'll also call them novel though.
