So my local Snappy guy comes in 2 days ago and im all set to order an extreme green krsc46. He tells me that he just got an email about some boxes that are new in crate from that factory that are errors. They were supposed to be back with chrome trim, but came out black with blue annodized trim. Originally it was a $5500 box but because of this color mix up, they are 3500. Anybody ever heard of anything like this? This is a 54 inch roller. I dont know the exact model. Snappy texted me a pic today and i have to admit the blue on black is ****. He says itll be here wednesday.

So ive heard of scratch and dent discounts. But this box is fine! In fact i think its extra nice because of the rare color combo. So why the large discount? Also this is being paid for on a truck account! No credit. Seems almost too good to be true. Can a Snappy dealer chime in here and give me some details without worrying about making a sale. Its hard to trust somebody when they have dollar signs in their eyes. Thanks guys

I have been to SO "scratch and dent" sales. The boxes where useable, but all said, they where really not deals. The girlfriend's uncle is a district rep for SO (tool guy's boss) and he says SO scraps a lot of boxes for stuff as simple as paint problems.

I think there was a bit of a promo after the vegas show on black boxes with blue trim. Maybe these are part of that promo or maybe they made too many for the promo? can't remember the exact model though but 54" box rings a bell.

my dealer use to host a "dealer get together" and alot of dealers in the area showed up and displayed items. (padronanniversary might know of this)

the dealers had brought all of their used boxes and overstock items. overstock items were usually 40% less

back before the hard handle craze became into effect, my dealer had a recycle bin filled with hard handles

Those aren't screw up boxes. There was a deal that if dealers ordered so much stuff they would get one free! Krl722 black with blue trim is what the boxes were.

Mistake, error, scratch & dent, mis-paints and wrong colors DO NOT leave the factory. That’s a fact.

It wasn't a promo after the show, is was during the show and trust me, for the amount of tools they had to buy, they were not "free".....

And I will admit, that color combo is very nice looking and your dealer should give you a nice deal on it.
