Does anyone know the size of the bolt that fits under the blade bar?

If you mean the nut that holds the blade on, it appears to be a 5/8"-18. I did a google search on Snapper Comet and found a service manual and parts list here: http://lawnandgarden.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/snapper/306rd.html
