Snappy CT761 Trigger Issue: Fix or send in?

I purchased said 3/8" impact kit off the truck 2-3? years ago. It has been great until recently after fairly heavy use. The motor will intermittently "cut-out" or intermittently nothing will happen at all when the trigger is pulled, both in forward and reverse. I have swapped batteries and sprayed a little contact cleaner in the trigger area to no avail. Has anyone been able to repair or just clean out the trigger switch successfully? I'm assuming the trigger likely needs replacement. Snap-on lists the trigger for $94 and it is currently back-ordered. Looks simple enough to replace. Are these still kind of a flat rate deal to send in for a "rebuild"?

I had the same issue a few monthes ago, it was a flat rate repair I want to say 125, so it wasn't worth my effort to replace the switch myself

Thanks for the reply! At $125 I guess I'll just send it in and use my trusty M12 in the meantime.

Open it up before you send it in. Mine had the exact issue and it ended up being a broken solder joint on the motor wire. If you can’t see anything obvious, put it back together and send it to snap-on. :)

Sorry to bring up an old thread but did you send it in and what was the condition when it came back?

I ask as I have an impact I’ve had for years that is best to snot. Nose cone has little paint, body is great and the motor just burnt up. For $125 that’s a pretty good deal if it comes back like new.

I just got done checking out two of my old CT761 both motors and 1 trigger unit. But I don’t need that many 3/8 drive impacts so I think I’m gonna swap the anvil on one to make it a 1/4 quick change
