Looking at the holiday gift flyer from my snappy dealer, I'm curious about the screwdriver sets sgdp50br/bg and sgds50br/bg sets.

I don't have any snappy screwdrivers, but perhaps nows the time to give them a try.

Any of you guys have these set(s)?

How you all liking them?

Any particular reason for wanting SO?

I heard the Williams drivers were very good as well and a good bit cheaper. If you are worried about warranty, you can buy 2 sets (one backup) and still be ahead

I ordered the 7pc green hard handle set from the dealer I have. The only reason for going S-O instead of Williams is warranty (the green color is nice too, kinda hi-viz). If warranty's not an issue Amazon has some good deals on the Williams.

Pretty much from what I've seen, my Brother has a set of Williams. IMO, the Snap-on screwdriver blades are not as good as my Dads 20 year old Snap-on ones, the newer ones seem softer. :dunno:

Got a Matco and Snap-On set a few months ago. Much preferring the Snap-On and for all the whining done on here the soft handles are fantastic. Great grip, great feel, and they clean up pretty good too.

For some reason its the opposite for me. I have SO and Matco drivers and absolutely love my matco drivers.

Agreed.. I kinda like the instinct handle, screwdrivers are one of those tools where I prefer "ease of warranty" because regardless of whatever brand you buy, they will wear out eventually.

I have one green handle snap on that I have no idea where it came from and I honestly find myself going for it first when I need one. I think it's because the larger handle fits my hand better than the couple cheapies I have but I dunno.

Personally I have never had any wear problem with mine, but they are all atleast 10 years old. As to them use to being harder, I heard from more then one that the older tips were too hard and would snap.

I have several Instinct soft handle drivers. I like them! I like the grip and tri-lobe! I clean the handles up with pink solution every 6 months or so. I also have the Williams HH set, and the shanks seem to me indentical to SO. If i were to only choose one set, I would choose the Instinct stlye again.

i got tired of my craftsmans bending with the flat heads.

i was going to go snap on but opted for a cheaper route and got some SK.

actually i bought extenstions i wanted and got the screwdrivers with them. great deal and half of the snap on screwdrivers for all of it.

the SK drivers are hard don't bend and grip like nothing ive used before. my dad bought some new screwdrives from snap on and the first phillips he used he twisted the head off of it.

ah tools gotta love em,.
