snappy side cabinet?

bored in class and looking over CL, I have been looking for a side locker, would I be able to mount this to the side of my KR1000? Or is it specifically a riser/ top box?

I guess anything is possible, but was it ever intended to mount vertically or have the ability to add shelves?

I saw this earlier i thought it was pretty cool for a hundred bucks. I think you would have to mount a lip to hang it as a side box

For 100.00 that would be a great price even if you can make a mount and hang it on the wall, or lag it right to the studs. Hang it right over your work bench.

I am trying to contact the seller but cant pick it up with the weather in MN today. Hopefully he doesnt sell it by the time I get off work tomorrow. I dont think my manager will let me hang it in my cube lol. Hopefully it wont take much to make a side locker out of it that I can build shelves in.

Most of what he is trying to sell I think is overpriced, but that top locker would be a good deal. He hasnt contacted me back yet so my hopes are not too high. I was looking for a side locker or a bottom box to restore. When looking I found the posting below for a stainless top, but I am more interested in the file cabinet that was painted to match on the left side of the toolbox. There doesnt seem to be any metal cabinets to hang off the old KR1000.

I just got a call from the seller, I am going ot pick it up after work. HE claims to have 75+ 3/8 drive ratchets and a bunch of misc items. Hopefully I will walk out of there with more than just the hutch.

Good luck!! That is a you **** deal if its in decent or better shape. I think you could easily make a side locker out of it. Would be best to drill holes and bolt it on. Might could use the holes where the side handle bolts onto the box.

I went and picked up the top locker, And refereed the seller to join the forum. He joined under the tag snappy1 and has listed some screwdrivers in the classifieds. There is a great deal out there for anyone looking for older hard handle snappys. After meeting up with him and seeing what all he had for sale I am sure some people on here will be buying from him soon.
