My guess is it would work as well as that Toro, though a 2-stage auger is much slower. The issue is that you'd catch every little crack in the pavement, and throw all sorts of stones. I've had enough trouble with my 2-stage going over a narrow brick path with the bkade catching a brick (the skids only hold the blade up when they're on the bricks, but if I wander a little...).

Now if you have an airport runway quality surface to work with, then this might work for you.

For me, I added pieces of tire sidewall to my 2-stage impeller. Man does that make a difference!

I thought about stones, but I really don't have that big of a problem with stones. I kind of figured on just doing it as an exercise, but a "production level" unit would probably have some sort of a remote skid shoe adjustment to raise or lower the auger/scraper height from the operator's station.

I did a DIY version of the "Clarence impeller mod" on my machine, too. IMO, that is the single biggest improvement that can be made to any 2 stage unit. It's pretty much unstoppable regardless of the type of snow. It can throw slush better than most new machines throw powder. I'd put it up against pretty much any brand new machine.

I didn't know how long the gas had been the the snowblower, so I decided to siphon it out.

How do I dispose of it and is gas normally that dark? There is a bit of black sediment that got sucked out, so Im glad I removed it.

If you don't see water in the bottom, just pour it through a coffee filter and add it to your car.

If you can find a used Toro CCR 3650 single stage (2 stroke, 6.5 hp) it is a beast ! It will handle drifts higher than the front.

It will also clan down to the pavement, something no 2 stage can do.

I have this snow blower and ye it a real beast deep snow wet snow NO problems
