Here are a pair of hammer like tools I picked up. My working theory is that they are snow knockers for removing ice from horses hooves in the winter time but I'd really like to hear from someone who actually knows what they are. They are so ornate that my first thought was that they were cast but I am pretty sure that they are forged and decorated with punches and files.
