SO 1/2" ratchet - What would you pay?

Yeah why is that? Why is a 1/2" drive 80 tooth smoother than a 3/8" drive 80 tooth? :confused:

Its probably just the weight of the action and the overall heft of the ratchet that gives the perception that its smoother. I would guess that from an engineering perspective the ratcheting action requires a similar level of force (as a percent of the weight) to swing it.

The teeth are bigger the spring on the 1/2 is beefier making the bottom jaws fall into place faster, and due to it having more lube on the surface areas its quieter =P

Well at lease that's what i came to a conclusion when i had them apart

I think it is just that the parts are heavier.:)
