Hi guys, I have just posted my snap on tools on craig's list. But, I don't know how to tell if responses are "legit" or some sneaky respose containing some virus that will shut down my computer. Hmmmm, the answer might have been to list them on here than somewhere else!!! But, if anyone has any advice about this, I'd love to hear it! cheers, jenny

I'll be the first to say, you'll probably have much easier time selling them on here.

I messaged you awhile back about those Snap On box ends but never heard back...if those are included in the tools you are trying to sell, feel free to message me..

Just opening an email isn't going to spring a virus that's going to shut down your computer. Opening attachments is what could do it. However, people that spam you on CL usu. have no interest in unleashing viruses. They're interest is getting you to visit a website so they can get $ credit for it.

And yes, assuming the shipping costs aren't prohibitive, you'll do better selling your Snap On stuff on here.

No pictures, terrible description, just a part number, you don't tell them if it's a wrench, a screwdriver, whatever.

Put some pictures up and a decent description, if the prices are good they'll sell in a day.

Yeah, I have no clue what you are selling. Not everyone that is looking for what you are selling knows what model number it is.

List it:

GREAT SNAP ON wrenches! CHEAP!

Inside the listing:

pictures,

pictures

Then all that model number stuff if you want. with prices
Then contact info.

1. on craigslist or here photos are a must
2. on craigslist, imperative to add, "prices are firm; no trades, no offers, cash only."
3. don't open your garage and give everyone a look at all your stuff and allow them to scope out all the back ways in. have the tools you are selling in the house where you can show them to those who come to the front door.
4. a couple of friends are so cautious, they don't even like buyers coming to the house. they meet them at the local fire station. makes for a lot of extra hassle, but it keeps the house and garage safer.

thnx, jack vines
