I am a DIY from southern California who has accumulated a small collection of vintage Craftsman tools, mostly screwdrivers and toolboxes. Recently decided it is time for someone else to appreciate them more than I do. I refuse to sell them locally to someone who is not going to appreciate them.
It appears as if this is a vibrant and well run site, with knowledgeable people. Therefore, I am here to exchange information and interest with other vintage Craftsman tool enthusiasts.
At times, I may even have questions about some of the regular tools I have, but my main interest is Craftsman.

Welcome to the group. I have almost all Craftsman tools also. Mostly newer stuff, 20 to 30 years old is about as far back as mine go. But I do have a couple of old ratchets that go back alot farther. Great tools for the money.

Welcome Borrego.
I too am a new guy. I use newer Craftsman hand tools at home and work and sell the real old ones. You might want to check out ALLOY ARTIFACTS website for a history lesson on Craftsman hand tools. I do have a collection of older Craftsman wood working tools from the 1950s that I do use all the time.

Welcome Borrego.

Older Craftsman tools are what a lot of us guys were reared on when we were little. Seems like at one time or another, all of our Fathers had Craftsman tools floating around. My Dad's basement is full of his old tools. He doesn't use them as much as he used to, in fact, now he holds the flashlight while I work on the plumbing!
