Richard, I did contact SO but their info on these is severely limited. They were able to give me the date range for production 1988-2007 and a scan from the 92 catalog. The leather case was apparently only used for the first few years as it's not in the 92 catalog. The gentleman I acquired the case from thinks he bought it in 1990.
