so my wifes family owns a saw mill and its 3rd gen is running it now. my wifes uncle and my wifes dad have worked there since they were little kids. today was their fathers birthday so we had "party on the patio" while we were there i asked jeff (wifes uncle) if he knew of anybody who had a lathe that was for sale or where i could possible find a good deal on one. he said "hell we bought one decades ago and it never got used, swing by and have a look at it and if you want it its yours"

F**K YEA!!!!!!!!!!!! about the only details he could remember is that it would span 36"....i think thatll do!!!!!!!

im gonna ease over there one day this week, maybe wed or friday. he mill is less than a 1/4 mile through the woods fro my house but i dont want to run up and get crazy. ive been in the family for 15 years but i still know my role.

I would like too ask one other special favor apart from the picture of the lathe; could you take a few pictures of the Sawmill and maybe a picture of any machines in your relatives shop.

It has always been a dream of mind to own a sawmill even though that will never happen ; the next best thing is to look at pictures of other peoples sawmill.
