Did SO build a quick release F70, I can't say I have ever seen one or is this some thing else? Date code 1969
Is there a rebuild kit for these?

I would be interested in a kit as it is hard to use as is, it looks like it had a retaining ball but that hole goes all the way thru the square shaft and then there is a hole all the way thru the lenght of the gear????
Am I correct in my assumption: G (Government)F-70S (Special)

G is industrial finish. I agree with Tony that it's a hy-lok ratchet rather than a broken QR ratchet. I think regular 7 series repair kits are still available and will fit your ratchet body.

hy lok ratchet they put a socket on it and then ran an allen wrench throught he head and the socket to make adjustments or remove stuff.
