SO Hex Sockets

I just bought my first set of SO hex sockets. They showed up with one of the hex keys out of the socket. Before I unseal the set, do these press back into the socket?

Email them with a picture of it, and you'll have a new one via UPS in a couple days.

new ones press in....they even press into the old sockets that take roll pins, and no longer use the roll pin.

You'll be fine. Open it and press it in. But, wonder why it is out in first place?

Open it up for inspection, maybe document it with a pic. You have many levels of recourse, including the e-bay seller, e-bay's own guarnatee, and snap-on.

Just have them warranty the bunk socket don't even chance it.

That's weird that the hex is out of the socket. The hex should have a little dimple on a side. That's the end that goes into the socket. Just hammer it it. If its loose call snappy CS and get a new bit.

try to press back in, if it stays on the socket tight, no worry.

I took a closer look at the set this morning. The hex bit does have a dimple crimped into it, so I am nut sure how that happened. It's one of the smaller bits btw. I snapped a pic and sent it too the seller just to see what they want to do, if anything.

you are taking this way too serious, but totally understandable.

just because it's Snap-on it's not 100% perfect. I have received many defected (function wise it's fine, but not pretty to look at) tools before from Snap-on in the past.

Pay pal can get you a refund if it doesn't go back in properly.

Open package and re seat hex bit into socket the wiggle bit to make sure there is no play

If there is play hit center of the bottom of bit (to mushroom socket end) then reinstall
Or call snap on for warrantee

I have had his happen a few times on torx sockets my dealer just gives me new sockets
