Ok, slightly confused...go figure. How high does the ceiling have to be to accommodate a full size lift and a full size truck?

I fully agree with that.Works for me although I haven't put in a lift yrt, but have the 12ft ceiling when I do.

A lot of full sized lifts require 145" minimum in their spec sheets. Don't forget your ceiling lights above the the lift. Or a fan. All these take up room.

I'd go a minimum of 12' 6" just to be safe. My lift is right at the 145" height as mentioned by rburke65.

14'. this allows for lights above the lift and a beam or crane for pulling engines.

My garage is 40X 60, 30' has a 10'4.5" ceiling 30' has 15'6" appox at the inside peak by using sissor trusses with a 3/12 inside pitch and 5/12 outside, in fact with this combination i have a lift next to a side wall and double stack my classic mustangs.

12 foot walls with scissor trusses. This should give you the height you need and not have a super tall wall.
