I'm still new to the whole working on cars I've done a couple press in ball joints and it seems like a valuable tool to have. All in all compared to the Otc, KD, and AP press's I've used I'm impressed with the with the quality. Former coworkers cheap press's the c frame was made out of some cheap metal that would mar if there was excess pressure, I even saw 1 press that the end of it ended up bending, i have no clue wtf their making them out of but it sucked. That and then having to hold the damn thing together while setting it up on the ball joint sucked. So far I love the kit now i just need to find a damn press in ball joint to sell, and actually have a customer who wants to fix their car these days.

I have found over the years that whenever I bought a tool to make particular job easier to do the next time, I never did that job again.

but, the minute you pass on that specific tool, 5 minutes after the snap on guy leaves, guess what rolls in the door. A car that requires the tool.. I get calls all the time asking for the tool that the guy put back on the shelf, or told me i will never use that thing here..... that will come back to haunt you when you say that.

should be an 1-1/8 on the lower with a 3/4-16 thread if you need to clean the threads on the nut cause ford balljoints dont come with a new nut

I looked at the BJP1 but the price - 629.00 WOW. I settled for the OTC 7249 kit. I paid 65.00 shipped to my door brand new. YES is says made in China but for as much as I will use it it was a good deal. I started to get the Lisle 43620. It looks a lot like the snappy BJP1. I am glad you are happy and the snappy sure is a nice set.

I don't understand. You always say you work at the biggest ford dealer in Indiana but your always the only one with lots "oddball stuff" How do the other techs get their job done?

yep.... i know one other tech who has sockets but dont allow them to borrow it... so they did switch to me when they saw me brought giant boxes and lot of tools... damn them!

I actually used the HF one and it worked pretty good. I rebuilt the whole front end on my 35 with it. I has a 69 Camaro clip.

You will like it for doing u-joints too. Every shop i have ever worked at has had a "shop" press with missing adapters, broken peices, shot spindle threads. Finally i borrowed one of my co-workers bjp1, was crazy how much i loved it.

$600+ sounds liek alot, but I just keep paying $30a week for a little longer than before (like i would EVER see the end of my tool truck payment?)

Case is huge, that part ***** but whatever. They changed the case from older model to newer one, mine is pretty compact black case , but his is red and takes up his whole bottom drawer of his box and take a 6 man crew to extract it from there

Does this Ball Joint Press work for Asian Cars, Specifically Toyota & Honda's.

Looks like a great tool, but not worth much to me if it does not service Toyota or Honda's.:headscrat
