I mean HUGE, not big, not even really big.
I got roped into buying this beast. Now I need to sell it, as it was bought to flip (trust me, I got it cheap). Anyway it's 75 HP and 300cfm @ 125 psi.

I'll post up pics when I get it home. It's a Sullair 16-75.

Anybody have a good idea what it's worth? How to market it? I've got a few large media blasters, that I will contact when I have time. Looking for a quick sale. As I'm in it for short money, and don't need to make a killing on it.

Can you prove it runs good? The market for that is going to be super slim. Most places that really need one arn't going to take a risk from some guy on craigslist (no offense). Rotary screws are expensive to fix if something goes south.

Yes. We took video of it running before we removed it. This machine was a fail safe (back up) machine for a production shop. low hours on it. Like I said, I'm in to this for VERY little money. I would be happy with 1/2 of mid market value. I know its a slim market.

It is hard to sell items like this in the secondary market. It's far too big for home shops, not to mention most smaller industrial shops.

And as stated above, most businesses don't want to take a chance on buying a used piece of equipment when their production losses can be thousands of dollars per hour if that equipment goes down. If they purchase it through a dealer that offers a warranty on it, then maybe.

I'd reach out to some online sites that specialize in selling used equipment of this type. Or call the industrial compressor service businesses in your area and find out if they know of anybody looking for one.

Hard to say. A lot of big and older stuff goes for scrap. We had the chance to get, for free and in running condition, an 800 cfm recip. identical to one which we currently own. The inter-cooler alone was worth a thousand or more. We passed 'cause moving the thing was problematic but later on another low cost deal came up on another one (which included shipping), and we grabbed it.

This is true on all sorts of high end production equipment, buyers don't have cheap prices on one item even on their radar. Your best chance may be to sell it to some equipment reseller who almost certainly already knew about it and turn it down for less than you paid.

Best to contact a compressor shop. They would have the best idea as to the condition and would naturally be a place to go for anyone looking for used equipment.
