...on FleaBay. Paid $18. It is damaged, but the PO said it worked. When I took the indicator out of the case, the dial was loose inside. I took it apart and the indicator housing was busted. The face is separated from the housing and looks to have been glued together in an attempted repair with RTV silicon. The housing is split and held together with more RTV and tie wraps.

I'm pretty sure I can repair the housing with epoxy. I have some Devcon Plastic Steel. I use for bedding actions to stocks, but I'm not sure it will bond to this plastic. I'm thinking I'll get some Devcon Plastic Welder. Any thoughts on that?

I also have to replace the cable for the remote function... Easy enough. Everything is there, and these things were made for rugged work so I think it's worth my time.

If I can get off the mountain tomorrow, I'll get what I need and work on it this weekend.

Anybody know when these were made and how to date the one I have?

Lowes only had Devcon 5min Epoxy Gell. Worked really good! Replaced the cord for remote operation and made a new leather handle for the box.

Tested it on the drill press, and it works!
