It's not a little thing. My tools are what earn me money and keep a roof over my head, food in the fridge, and a vehicle to drive. If you take my tools, you are also taking my INCOME, my HOUSE, my FOOD, my VEHICLE, etc. from me. It is a BIG deal.
That's like taking an IT guys computer, a photographer's camera, etc. You don't screw with my income, job, and livelihood and not expect hell to pay.
That's why my tools only get loaned out if they give me cash equal to value of tool, a tool of theirs of equal value, or their driver's license. They will NOT get them back until my tool is in my box. Just ask the guy that didn't believe me. He lost my tool, had a week to replace it and didn't. I traded his tool in to the snap-on lady to replace mine. He didn't like it. Tough.
Coach you should make that less than two months or 519 posts a month.

On the subject of loaned / lost tools...many people don't understand how important it is to have the tools you need to do the job properly and in an efficient manner.
Many of those same people, being raised in our throwaway society, will never understand the "buy it once, use it forever" concept.
Merk lol. They'd probably get a little weired out about someone calling and arguing about my lost ratchet. Then I'd get a talkin to probably. I'm just taking this as a lesson learned. Don't let anyone borrow any tool from you ever no matter what. Unless you get something of equal value in return. That'd be alright. That kid and the shop forman are buddy buddy from what I'm told so chances of them fixing the problem are slim to none. So I'm just going to let it slide and keep a close eye on my tools.

Their Exscuse for not calling the customer they tell me they didn't have any Work Orders or any information on the guy because he was a "New Customer" and all he had done with some bulbs installed that he had brought in himself. Which is complete BS because they have to write a work order on all cars. They just don't want to take the time to go into the system to get the number. I hate to say it but the more I'm dealing with this makes me want to look for another job.

I would look for other job if managment dont make all thing solve soon then it will get worse as add more problems like maybe that kid come and take one of your tool again and you dont know what it happen...
BUT it is your judgment to make decidison to make that problem solve or look for other dealership like Tom Wood or Penske G.M. dealerships...

yes....for real. most dealers don't want lifetime employees or they would offer benefits to keep you there. i usually have several shops lined up for future employment!

I posted the photos so that the people reading this thread would know what the missing TH737 looked like. I had assumed everyone already knew what a 1/4 drive 10mm deep socket looked like; so that's why I didn't post a photo of that.
I never just merely copy/paste a photo; I always run them through iPhoto first to increase the sharpness of the image and then I file them in a folder.
I take great care in writing my posts by using carefully selected words and editing the content with spell check first and then a final check of the punctuation.
I have to admit, your opinion of my posts as being one liners and spam has a certain degree of hurt.

Not to Hijack this thread but,
On most boards you will see certain types of peope who post comments.
The ones who post questions.
The ones who state facts (informative or entertaining)
The ones who respond (sometimes seriously and sometimes not so seriously)
IMHO I look at some of Merkava 4's posts as a kind of lubricant that keeps message boards going. You need all different kind of members to keep the boards messages flowing, alive and interesting. I have nothing against FRANZ, but his message board is dead, it is limited to which type of poster goes there.
The board is a different thing to different people, some like to show off their knowledge, some their money, some their tools all as a source of pride. Not every thread is going to be interesting to all. Some stay on all day and watch for answers to their threads, others simply post a couple and sign off. Different types of people, doesn't make them wrong, weird maybe.
Merkava has posted some interesting stuff, and his love of Snap on at times may seem disturbing, but hey, its his money and it seems to make him happy. No issues here.
Just my 2 cents

we are here to help, advise, suggestion, or even feedback everyone in this forum... we are not only complaint about job or the works on vehicles or even problems with tools as they want tell what their thought about tools or tell what if they have problems which you can figure out as maybe it is help or not but "hint"... sometime one member in this forum have problem with chrysler and i did response it then he got it right fix ... even everyone would like help other each if they want to unless they dont want to then they would said nothing.... it is my opinion... hope no one is offense from my message...
