Honestly we don't use those much anymore. 99% of alignments I use nut pliers. Much smaller, convent, and faster. The 1% I use snap on plier wrenches. They're about 10 inches long and work similar to the nut busters. Part number is pwz I can't remeber the rest lol

I've got the SO version. It's a love/hate relationship for me. I love it because it should work, if the tie rod is clean, dry and the knurls are still there, they do work. However if there is any grease, or no knurls, no doughnuts. It won't do anything. My back up when that tool failed was a 6" long pipe wrench. Worked way better, and fit more sizes!! PM me if your interested in a used version. Haven't touched it in years, all my tie rods are 1.250" diameter now. They stand up to the rocks a bit better than stock. Keith

it's a YA part number, so that means someone else makes it...prolly OEM or ATP or someone like that

i tend to use either the correct sized wrench, or if it just has the knurls i use my cobras

I second the cobra pliers my go to for alignments

Parrot jaws come out with some really tough ones before I break out the torches

i usually go at it with the correct size wrench 13 or 15mm fd+, should i just bust out the torch if that fails to break it loose.... don't know if i should buy another tool or just settle on using the torch. originally i was against using the torch becuase the shop forman would give me a funny look when i bust it out. since i used it like 6 times last week that feeling has somewhat gone away.
