The influence this board has on you, I must confess, can be extensive at times. All those posts by Merkava and others with ratchet parts all blown out gave me the urge to take all of mine apart and clean and relube them.
I got all 9 done last night in about an hour. In the process I noticed (never noticed it before) that my regular 1/2 ratchet,a S936, has a case that is much larger and not nearly as slim a profile like like my long 1/2 drive ratchet SL832. The guts look pretty similar but I do prefer the profile of the slimmer 832 design.
Does anyone know why they quit making the 832? It looks like a much cleaner design although the 936 case definitely appears stronger. I tried a couple searches but nothing came up.
I think I will have to get me one. Maybe trade the 936 for a nice one.
