There was just the hand portion down in Costa Mesa (I think) offered for 10 bucks open, on Ebay, no reserve, a few months ago. You had to pick it up in person though, they wouldn't ship. It closed without a bid.
Yeah they are very heavy! Plus watch your body! Let the tool work, don't try to fight it, you won't win...... and watch the pinch point between the tool and the work!!
Also its a small engine driving the pump, so expect it to be dead when you need it most. Backups are always the order of the day.
Used fire equipment often goes very cheap. Most FD's are municipal and that means "other peoples money" who never, ever, ever, buy anything used.
So you can buy a used firetruck for less than price of a dented Yugo with a blown engine most times.
Even our own local volunteer squad took 3 years to finally give away a beautiful truck for free! No takers for 3 years! I loved it but had no room at my little place.
Finally the next tiny town took it, but I still don't know what they are going to do with it either. I know their trucks. They have enough and no more dry garage space.
