I screwed up and damaged a drawer edge trim piece on my SO KRL1022. I couldn't find anything on their website so emailed them. Within about 15 minutes I had an email reply with a P/N and price. I placed the order over the phone and SO waived the shipping. Later I found out I needed a special crimping tool to install this piece of trim. I call SO and they answered immediately and told me that tool is only available from the OEM and gave me the contact info. I call the OEM and they say they don't sell to end users. I email SO again and tell them about the runaround. I immediately get a response from Michell and a phone call telling me she'll arrange a special drop ship of this tool. I place the order and get an instant email acknowlegement.

In this day and age of ignored emails and worthless customer support, SO was truly exceptional!!!

Perfect. A tool no one has that everyone will want! Don't forget pics when it arrives.

its really nothing special. just some chezzy pliers with a derlin rod on it. I've crimped them with a socket/pliers w/out issues if using common sense.

For a mere $22 I wanted the right tool for the job. I'm surprised it was so cheap. You can't even buy a single SO allen wrench for that. This tool has a hardened tooth that locks the back of the trim to the drawer. Not something I want to dink around trying to improvise.

SO sent me a free rebuild kit for a half inch Dual 80 ratchet that I paid $10 for. It was rusty and skipped like crazy. The kit included all the guts and even a mini tube of superlube grease.

Great customer service. I rationalized that since the previous owner was a customer, the guarantee followed the tool.
