Sorry if I do someone upset, but why have a supernice box with cheap tools? Maybe a set or two with premium tools, but the most of them are low quality. I am checking on toolbox tours on youtube and many people has a truckbrand box with cheap tools in it??? Why not buy a Hf box or something not so expensive like the truckbrands and fill it up with top quality tools for allmost the same cost?

Sometimes the big name truck brand tools come into their own when performing various tasks, when it comes to toolboxes, for myself, Snap-On makes the best, they withstand the test of time, compared with other brands, when used in a shop environment. Doesn't matter who buys what & puts whatever into it out of preferences or budgets, as long has it gets the job done, that's all that matters.

Why? Cause it's kinda like telling us to get an ugly girlfriend, who's good in the sack....Just kidding... I'd rather have both though, but I'd settle for a HF box, with quality tools...

If you can afford the premium tools, why would you cheap out on the box? Same thing for the other situation.

OP . . . . . you are in . . . . SWEDEN . . . . does this even apply to you ???

What all brands even sold in Sweden ??

Why not list out all the brands sold in Sweden and make this educational thread, instead of futile endeavour ???

Reminds me of my roomates Date long ago and the gal was only interested in the car a person drove; well my roomate said I have a Vette and that is she wanted to hear game on... My friend forgot to tell her it was a Chevy Chevette!

Kind of like showing up at the dance with a 2000lb boat anchor.:lol_hitti

Oh he did tell her he had 4-55 air conditioning...yes you put all 4-windows down and went 55 miles per hour I bet she was pissed that day.

My guess is they panic with a empty box and have to fill it up with something. Some of those folks would be better off doing something else, they're not really wrenching on stuff. They couldn't fix a lawnmower. They buy a lot of stuff they'll never use to impress people and look like they can fix anything.A lot of sockets and wrenches.A lot of people here can't figure out the use of a multimeter. They wouldn't know the simplest things sometimes.

Same reason some people drive Escalades and live in a crappy apartment in the 'hood.

They're doing what they want to with their money. And they are proud enough of the efforts to post a video.

We can't say what the skill level of each is based on just that video and should not judge them for having different stuff than we would choose. Rant amateur Harry Homewner to 140 years experienced SuperTech each of us has the skills and the percieved need to use what we have.

I have a small tin handbox at home and carry my work tools everyday in a Tupperware lunchbag, for now. I can do the automotive related jobs laid before me with just them. Maybe half are a recognised quality brand name. I own no red tin tool condo of any brand and don't need one.

If you read this and stopped caring about my stuff, started thinking about your own tools then you got the right idea. I am not going to do what works for you and don't want to adjust how you do what works for you.
None of you would care about my ideas of how to spend your money anyway.

The cost/value of my box is proportional to the tools inside. It just so happens to be a 72" Snap-on box. The only bummer is that I need more space and making the jump to the next bigger box is a pretty one

I believe some people work up to having a high end box and high end tools.

The first step is cheap tools and cheap box...then nice box, cheap tools. Finally nice box then nice tools.

...then he croaks and his wife and kids dump the whole lot at an estate sale to buzzards.

To each his own. Me, I started about 25 years ago with a cheap Craftsman 26" box and mostly Craftsman tools. I chose to concentrate on better tools first. I did go from the Craftsman to a 44" Harbor Freight box about 8 years ago and then to a 56" HF 3 years ago and now a Mac Tech 1000 triple bay. The whole time I was building my tool inventory. I will say this. I have mostly Mac tools. I also have some Craftsman mostly sockets and a few HF things. In my opinion some HF tools have their place. Take a torque wrench for example. I don't use one at work. I do car audio stuff for a living. I use a torque wrench about 2 times a year to rotate my tires. I have a 1/2" drive HF I got with the $10 coupon. It works fine for what I need. Will I eventually replace it with a nice one? Probably so but it is not a high priority for me. There are other thing I want to replace that I will actually use more. I would damn sure have my HF torque wrench than none at all. Just my opinion. I could be wrong.

A few years back I had a coworker who has a mish mash collection of little craftsman and Snap-On stack boxes. I had my Matco triple bay with a hutch and a locker. Two or three pick up trucks and two strong guys, and my coworkers entire collection could be gone. Mine? Not so much.

Why do some people buy a McMansion house and then have no money to buy furniture? See it all the time.

If you got it, smoke it. Buy whatever you want.

Most of us have to make compromises. I buy descent boxes and good tools.

Answers to your question would be endless....Too many variants as to the money they choose to spend, if the tools are used constantly to make a living or for hobby enjoyment, and where the toolbox and tools are kept, and personal choice.

We all be nuts is We all did the same

I will pass on this one. But maybe not. Harbor Freight boxes are great for the money they do just as well as truck brands. My friend has a 8 bay shop and 10 to 15 guys work there and those boxes holding up very well. Now the tool truck comes buy weekly to sell them more tools and warranty the broken ones on weekly basis. Need I say more.

I am a ToolAholic,Sometimes I regret it,Especially when the Toolman wont give me no credit.

My box has yet to make me a dime.....my tools on the other hand have.

Incorrect. Is your box organized? Can you find your tools faster than if they were all pilled together in a wooden box? How about theft? What about moving your tools?

Time is money. Saying your box hasn't made you a dime is like saying your car that gets you to and from work everyday hasn't made you a dime. It may not be directly responsible for your income, but I bet it makes a LARGE difference.

Bahco is a Swede company. Or was, till Snap-on bought them, because they were in bed anyway. Bahco reversible adjustable are amazing for heavy equipment/pipe/hose/being awesome. They make other nice stuff, though some odd. I have a cool spring loaded utility knife by Bahco, and it is hands down my favorite.

They also make Swedish fish.
