My Snap on Distributor has a set of Orange HH screwdrivers on his truck. I assume they are older stock and I've been thinking about getting them. I also look at the Williams hard handles on Ebay and I can get what looks the same for cheaper. Anyone ever compared both side by side? I figure if I get the Snap On set I'll have a warranty.

Who knows?
I didn't take the time to find any, but there are a TON of threads comparing SNap-on vs. WIlliams hard-handles on GJ.

Are they the same as the old hard handle snap on screwdrivers or the newer hard handles. Not referring to the instincts at all. I keep hearing there were older hard handles and these newer hard handles but can't figure out a difference.

Old hard handles. I've got both. Wont ever buy Snap-On again. Bought my Williams on Amazon.

I know its been said they are not Tue same. It's probably true. But i own a Williams set and a snap on instinct set and I can't tell a difference in the shanks and tips.

I own two sets of the Williams (phillips and flat) and when I compare them to my Dads Snap-On hard handles they are very similar in design but the Williams basically look like Snap-On seconds to me. The quality control doesn't seem as tight. Having said that, as a DIY guy they've served me well and I would purchase again given the wide pricing gap.

Try WERA Kraftform Plus 300 series with laser tips. You won't use a different screwdriver again.
Get the 900 series in addition if you want to chisel with your sd's.

they really aren't the same quality.. They are still very good for the price, MUCH better value than snap on.

How did you come to that conclusion? I have owned both, and I will tell you now that performance wise, Snap On does nothing better than the Williams. I have owned both ( though not the entire Williams set). To be honest, with performance in mind, I'd take my Wera Kratforms over my old Snap Ons.
