So what should I expect to pay?

So I have two loops of PEX coming out of the floor, and I already have a heat source for my radiant system, but what should I expect to shell out for the pumps, expansion tank, thermostat and installation etc...?

I only have the two loops so this is as small a system as you could build and I want to find out what others have paid doing it themselves and what you have paid the pro's to do it...I dont know if I want to do it myself or not? I have a cousin that can do it, but he is hours away and even being family he is not cheap.

I did mine with a 40 gallon Hot water Heater And a bronze pump, some temp gauges & pressure gauge, an expansion tank, an automatic air bleeder, some brass pipe ******* & ball valves. Between $400.00 & $500.00. No thermostat, I regulate the "feel" with the T-stat on the HWH

yes, I just ran a longer piece of j cord & put a plug on the end of it

So no mixing valve at all huh..that looks like a simple way to go. Whats the Square footage that it heats and whats the bill?

The T-stat on the HWH controls the temp @ about 120 on the outlet side so there is no high boiler temp. It's about 500 sq. ft.
As far as the cost, I never really paid attention to the increase, the gas & electric always seems to be increasing anyway. I just chalk it up to "I need Heat"
