No affiliation, just thought it was strange b/c I thought SO only sold through independent reps. Looks like a warehouse set up. Or maybe it's a rep's warehouse?

If that's a picture of a rep's warehouse then that's alot of $$ ******* in inventory!!

Unless it's garage sale or flea market kind of prices it's too rich for me.

Its possible they are a procurement company for govt contracts or oil company contracts, etc. They are also listed on several forklift sites. I'm wondering if they are simply buyers of freight salvage or overage. However my $$ is they are some sort of govt procurement company who bought a bunch and then the govt ended up not taking them or something. It happens more than one might think.

We have a local Freight salvage place that has sold some Snap-on and Bluepoint in their retail store. They can if it comes through certain lines, where other freight companies, or insurance carriers, etc. will have to either go back to Snap, or elsewhere.

These guys are the biggest scam ever. Technically their contracts state that they will dispose of all freight salvaged and sell it as damaged/unwarrantiable merchandise (such as their auctions). However they are big time breaking the rules with their retail store as far as I can tell. Not to mention the last few times I've rolled through there stuff is at near retail prices. I stopped going to their auctions a few years ago after it got to be a crowded mess of people driving up the prices.

Not all their contracts are the same. Also they have an Ebay store as well as the local store (as we call it Retail sales outlet). Prices vary widely from bargain (especially specialty stuff) to way over retail (know your prices going in). I have only access to the general auction (probably the one your talking about), but they have one or two others for the higher dollar/more often buyers that also gets the better merchandise. I can give you a good example of price hikes. I bought a computer rack for my father for $13, years back. One month later, they were going for $350.

Just treat it like any auction.
