Just wondering what the concensus is for the best soak type carb cleaner. Used to use Gunk HydroSeal years ago but it does not seem to be as good as it used to be. Berryman B12 does not seem to be as potent as it used to be, either. Any of you know of something better than either of these?

I used to use Berryman's.

I haven't purchased any in several years, but a friend told me that the stuff they sell now is "safer", but practically useless.

Like Will said, I think it's pretty hard to find the good cleaner anymore, the stuff they sell nowadays is more environmentally friendly but it doesn't do the job as well. The cleaner they used to sell was full of some pretty nasty chemicals...I just got rid of a gallon can of carb soak (I think it was Berryman's, although I can't remember for sure); the liquid was actually eating holes in the sides of the can and I didn't want a Superfund site in my garage. Fortunately my city had a free hazardous material dropoff day this summer so I got rid of it along with a bunch of old cans of paint, fluorescent lights, etc.
