Cypress College is roughly between the 91/5 freeway a bit east of the 605, take either Valley View or Knott to Orange and park where you see others parking. Swapmeet is in two large lots on the north side of campus and is open every Sat/Sun, with normal parking mostly all the way on the other side of the campus requiring, gasp, walking or dropping off.
I like this swapmeet, not sure exactly why, the product mix wasn't that different from the others, but just enough that I ended up finding and buying a few more things.
Mercado style, groceries, food vendors, lots of the store return and shipping damaged stuff from dept stores and Sears, cheap clothes. 99% of the sellers were regulars, but not so much of the everybody sells the same stuff at the same price. Not a good place to find SnapOn, OCC where I am going in the morning seems best for that so far, but plenty of Craftsman and Husky, working mans quality tools.
I found a pair of Proto ratchets on a table, decent shape 1/2" drive and a pretty rough 3/8" drive, both had replacement clickers. The 1/2" drive Proto I bought last week is a little sloppy with an original clicker. I worked at buying both for $10, ended with just the 3/8" for $5 when the seller wouldn't budge from $15 for both. It would have been nice getting new clickers, but so goes the sport of being cheap.
OTOH I found a SlipKnot Tshirt, and 4 CRV3 lithiums to feed my hungry camera. Could be what I like about this swapmeet is that I am close enough to a normal shopper for the product mix to find many things I want, but fringe enough not a lot of other people are looking for the same stuff.
