Socket Labels Void Warranty?

I'm waiting for some socket labels that I bought online, but I just thought of something.

And sorry if this is a dumb question, but would putting labels on my sockets somehow void their warranty? I'm really just concerned about SO and C-Man since that's what I have.

If you are really concerned just use some brake clean to remove the label before you try to take it in.

snap on will warranty a tool with engraving on it, sears well 99% of the time they dont care

snapon even sells an electric engraving tool to mark your snapon tools.

I would be leery of engraving a Craftsman tool.

I engrave my Craftsman tools. Many do. I exchanged a broken ratchet with rebuilt one that had engraving.

Many places have new guys that buy Craftsman and engraving avoids mix up.

I hate it when sears trys to give me a rebuilt ratchet with some random engraving on it. I usually have to get a manager to get me a new one or at least one without someone elses initals carved in it. I wish they would just give me a rebuild kit like they used to. I have only once broken a handle on a ratchet But have had the guts give out on me several times.
