Socket Labels

Do you label your socket with a brother labelling printer? I find it hard most of the time reading the size on the socket when your finding the right one. fine etching is already hard to read and most of the time they are etch in small sizes also.

Personally if your having issues reading them. I think putting a label on them will make it worse.. What happens when you need to actually use the socket and the label rubs off? Then your back where you started. If i was you.. I would look into an engraver and engrave the size on the socket. Making it readable for you. If not id look into another brand of socket.

What brand do you have that your having the issue?

Never had to really do that. Course i can tell a size usually just by looking at it, having wrenched all day long for years now.

Friend of mine had trouble figuring out sizes and seeing them (wears thick glasses) and used a white wax pencil and filled in the etching. Worked damn well.

You could always use a bright color or be like my dad and color everything in with red nail polish. hehehe

What brand do you have that your having the issue?

I got mastercraft and the have engraving that are really fine, hard to read already when i'm changing sockets in between, so lately, I would bring out all the ratchet and put them together so I would try to grab the ratchet instead of switching sockets, but still need to switch socket sometimes
