Socket retainer on air impacts

My problem is the lock rings on air impacts, especially import's sockets won't stay on. Just purchased a HF earthquake 3/8" impact and have used it quite a bit now the ring will come off once in a while. Is there any tricks to keep them in place. Does any of the tool trucks offer a good replacement for the import guns???

there was a company called just clips that sold little packets of hog ring clips and the o rings that go behind them. I'm not sure if they're still in business.
