Socket Storage?

So its time to get my sockets out of their giant plastic trays that master craft shiped them in. So i'd like to get some metal rails to screw to the top of my toolbox and then clip them there. However i can't find any cheap ones, let alone in the mass quantity that i need.

TL;DR Where do i get cheap socket rails from?

Princess Auto. Also if you don't want to be that cheap PA has some aluminum rails with plastic clips that are surprisingly nice but a little on the expensive side.

The cheapest ones I have seen have been at Harbor Freight. But from what I have heard from others, there are no Harbor Freight stores in Canada. Princess Auto is said to be the equivalent.

My own recommendation would be to get Craftsman rails that don't have the steel "clips" on them. Buy the ones with the plastic stubs that look just like the drive end of a ratchet. They hold the socket well and are easier to pull the sockets on and off from.

The harbor freight ones ****, you can definitely see a difference in quality when compared with the craftsman one, go for the craftsman plastic ones.

The snap-on ones are actually cheaper than the Craftsman standard rails I think...anyone know who makes them?

I checked princess auto, the cheapest ones come in a 3 pack. I wanted to get them individually as i need a odd amount of each size. Those snapon ones are surprisingly cheap. Thanks for the help

I've tried a couple of different types from Princess Auto because they were cheap on sale and I needed a lot of them. They both sucked ***.

Those new aluminum ones they now carry look interesting but not for $15 EACH. I'm too much of a cheap SOB to even try them.

I do have some Snap-on rails that I've had for 25 years and recently bought a couple more.

Cheap and rock solid: possibly Snap-On's best value purchase!
