Good ol' socket rack OCD, haha. :lol_hitti

My 1/2" metric impact set skips 20mm, 23mm and 24mm. All of which I'll end up filling in from Cripe or Ebay. My Kobalt set of chromes I bought as a cheap set didn't come with a 20mm, but my OCD got me to buy one to fill it.

The larger sizes really won't ever get used (I guess it depends on what line of work you're in). I've had more use out of my 32mm & 36mm impacts than anything else over 19mm.

At least when I finally replace my current 1/2" stuff with Williams USA, all their sets are complete without skipped sizes.

Jeebus.

Unless Ryan, Bull and Jack make me a mod, I give up.

Almost.
Lulz. :)

Do you need the 20mm to 36mm + sockets? Mainly---Yes. For the most part.
Depends upon what you wrench on.

But the sizes on the "Hansen" pegs are designed and set forth by unknowing tool graphic designers in Asia.
Not folks that actually USE those tools.
BTDT.
This gets old tho. :)

Srsly.

But I love this site.
SRSLY I do.

My $.02.
No hate on my end chipper.
Ur just going at it back-asswards IMHO.

I have the same problems with my socket trays.... I have a list f missing sockets in my wallet and at garage sales / flea markets keep an eye out for those sockets I still need. Don't really wanna spend 5$ or more for individual sockets at sears.

Whatcha need?

My Sears has 20mm short and long sockets for $1.50 each in clearence each these days. LMK.

Lots of oddies both metric and SAE.

20mm? wtf.
I could not tell you last time I used one outside of a ^%^$ed up lug nut for a Pontiac Vibe once I crancked off the chrome lug cover which was 21mm to the real world when it left the factory. Lose teh cap and OMG 20mm. LOLZ.

Again. Just bad news.

LOLZ.

My snappy deep impact set came with 20mm, and my sk shallow set has 20mm, but the only thing Ive ever used them for is pressing out Ujoints and stuff like that. Ive only seen 20mm on GM fuel filters, which can only take a wrench.

Tooltopia has what you need. K-Tool International brands are reasonable and have stoodup to my abuse. Been quite happy with them.

I avoid socket OCD by just cutting pieces of PVC pipe to fill in the missing tray slots. That allows me to not have to buy every socket size while still being able to glance over my socket racks to quickly see if I forgot to put something back after a project.

The PVC pipes that have end caps dropped in the top that say "HAVE" are sockets that I do own, but they are either a part of my travel socket set or are stored somewhere else for convenience purposes.

For specialty sized sockets, one-off sockets, or sockets that do not have a space in a socket rack, I just drop a PVC end cap into the socket and write the size on it for easy identification. I have other sockets that i don't have pictures of at this time, but the last picture shows two examples so you can get the idea.

I spent a good chunk of money buying sockets I'll never use. Just to fill the leg. What gets me is 26 is skipped on kobalt trays, but they made damned sure 1/4 drive 1/8 and 5/8 was there. Along with 3/8 drive 18mm, 1/2 drive goes down to 10 I believe?
