Hello, I am a senior in high school. I take a class in engineering where I have to define a problem with everyday life and solve it. My partner and I are interested in solving a tool-related problem. Do you find issues when working with tools? More specifically, do you ever have difficulties in finding the socket size you need? If you don't get it correct the first time, do you find it a hassle to go grab a new one from your drawer? Do you ever grab a metric sized socket when you actually needed a US standard size, or vise versa? Thank You for your time.

90% of my socket use is with impact sockets on an Impact I do not even own chrome sockets My biggest problem Is that over time the sockets and extensions become worn so badly that they literally fall off the impact. Part i of the issue might be the anvil is wearing out also. Tools and sockets of today, do not seem to last as long as they did 20-25 years ago.

Organization.
Green box I made for impact sockets that I use with 1/2" DeWalt impact gun.
Two boxes, metric in one, inch in other.
Third box for odd tools, Whitworth (British), etc.
Sockets in racks, put in labeled drawers.626664e6484791b6b2387af8188dad0e.jpg6a6e67b1bbabf30d49570a1417ff451d.jpg4ff26aee16c828adad45c3e35560a4ea.jpgebd5103fc0b1ccae4e069516aacb26d2.jpg5f84e82f01c3e7cfafa985b9201f4739.jpg09b6e84ae6afdac123db7e25e8abd80c.jpgd2245cf3b5b55d08b3bd8c8fe28b1621.jpg

i think that tool related problems are fiability, saving time, ergonomy , simplicity of use and manoeuvrability in confined spaces....

Looks like instead of "do you ever have difficulties in finding the socket size you need" it should be difficulty in getting the answer he wants[emoji16].
