Holy ****, how can something so simple be so expensive?

This is for the house. Current intake venting is 56' of 12" vented soffit on front side, ~450sqft of the same as the porch ceiling on the opposite side. Roof has a passive Gable, powered Gable and 2 powered roof vents.

GAF guide calls for total 40' of LSV8 Metal Continuous Soffit Vents, or 61pcs 4" round vent. Based on the math, my intake should be covered by the front soffit, but I want to keep it balanced.

I figured I'd throw 30-40 4" vents in the new porch ceiling call it good. But the price....

Where the heck can I get these? PVC or aluminum is fine.

I could do the rectangular, but round looks much better IMHO...

The Lowe’s around me carries it and I suspect Home Depot.

Any good lumber yard will have it.

There are two types - single edge and double edge.

We use single edge. The vertical leg is pinned to the back of the facia then the flange is nailed off and overlaid with the sight.

Double edge has 2 flanges. Single edge just one flange.

Double edge you have soffit both sides of the vent.

Sorry I thought you were talking about continuous soffit vent like this single edge application

No, unfortunately not. That material (and 16x4 vents) is dirt cheap in comparison, but I'm not sold on the looks.

The 4" rounds are $3.5/ea at the orange store, looks like best I can find online is $2.75/ea. Might as well just be done with it today/tomorrow...

I see I misread you first post.

The round ones are certainly easier for retrofit. Hole saw and done assuming you miss the rafter/truss tails or any soffit framing.
