Soffit Vents

Daughters has a condo. Pictured is her soffit vents. believe it or not these things are stapled to the soffit which is honestly like cardboard. Over the years the vents have begun to sag making it a perfect invitation for bugs.

Anyone have experience with a good method of re-securing these? Not sure a screw would hold.

I have the perforated aluminum liner panels the full length/width. There is a vinyl equivalent available too.

If the soffit is soft then it might need to be replaced.

Siding looks a little wonky too...

Condominiums generally take care of the whole building and grounds. Work like this on an individual unit is not permitted AFAIK.

Can you get in that corner of the attic? Blocking would be my go to, but if it's all soft, it needs to come down.

I agree that you probably are not allowed to do any repairs outside.

That said, pull down the grill, put a couple 1x2 boards in the soffit to screw into, sandwiching the soffit between the grill and the 1x2.

Some condo's allow this type of stuff. Good idea to check.
If those screws are holding i'd drop the grill, add some silicone and screw back in place. If not PoorUB has the answer above.

Gutter is coming off too...

I thought too at first, but it's not. Look at how the soffit is angled underneath, they just left the ends of the rafters square and not angled. So the ledger board behind the gutters is angled.

I see many condos built with the cheapest materials and quickest labor. The developers put the K in the Kwaulity of these units to maximize profit.

Look at the gutter nails/screws, the gutter is trying to pull away from the point of attachment. Most noticeable at the top, but I see 3 spots:
