Soft handle to hard handle

is it possible to take one of the newer handles and exchange it for a older hard handle?

Are we talking about Snap on Handles? No.

You may want to purchase a new jh williams(Snap-on owned co.) black handled screwdriver to use as the new handle, maybe a SDR-22 or SDR-24, they can be had for $4.59 or $5 from all2ools.com. You are going to be bothered to loose such a fine screwdriver. Please post pics of your project, if you proceed.
